The way Nonna used to make . Why pay $$$$$$$ when you can make it yourself. Store them for next season if they last that long :)

Also how to make wonderful homemade Jam, at least you know exactly what goes into the jar……

Partial participation by you, otherwise sit back watch and take in how easy it is to make your own preserved goodness……

Daniela and Stefania are coming to Melbourne, Bentleigh to be exact .

come and join us and learn how to make traditional handmade pasta……

come and learn how to make Fusilli, Gnocchi, Lavanelle, Tortellini and more.

we will add color to some and we shall fill some, mostly done without a machine.

So come and learn the way Nonna used to make pasta and lets continue this tradition so we DO NOT forget how wonderful fresh homemade handmade past tastes!

My Other Kitchen  in Bentleigh will be our kitchen for the day and we will whip up some sauces to go with our pasta’s and all enjoy the goodness we produce at the end together………

Bring a friend or 2 as we want to come over and see lots and lots of beautiful faces.

We need the numbers to jump on a plane and come and see you all :)

Do you have a sweet tooth?

Then let Daniela and Stefania sooth and indulge you with their Biscotti and delicious Sweets!

Come and learn how to make beautiful traditional Italian Biscotti, wonderful and light Chiffon cake and Cartocci filled with wonderful italian custard.

This class is laid back for you all. Its  about teaching and showing you the method in how to create  simple biscotti.

It will be partial participation from you , we want to concentrate on you watching on how to make fantastic little creations.

We will give out printed recipes but feel free to bring paper and pen to take notes.

At conclusion we will enjoy a High Tea Daniela and Stefania style!

The Green Umbrella

Last week myself and my friend Donna went to a cookery demonstration in the local library. The two ladies giving the demo had been contestants on the last season of a reality cookery show called My Kitchen Rules. Its a show that I really enjoy and I believe a UK & Ireland version is currently being made with the lovely Lorraine Pascale as a judge.



Daniela and Stefania are cousins (double cousins in fact) and act like sisters, as in they bicker and joke non-stop! So amusing to watch but most importantly they cook delicious Italian food. We got to taste some lovely bites and I even had some cake (not sugar free) it was a chiffon cake and I was so interested in how it was made that I had to taste it. It was the lightest fluffiest texture and most interestingly it has to be made…

So today my mum asked me to prepare a sweet for her because this evening she had a group of friends over to play cards. Well i thought i would make Cartocci fritti as i have’nt made them in such a long long time. they look divine and very easy to make.
I made a custard also to fill them and you can find the recipe on our blog under recipes .
I doubled the dose as written in our recipe section and was able to make 26… My family loved them my next door neighbours loved them and I hope my mum and her friends give me the thumbs up also.
From all your askings on our Facebook page i can see that all your mouths were watering also, so thats definitely a thumbs up or 2 😉
And by he way my mum scored 2 pizzas as well as that was what was on the menu in my household tonight.
Give these a go you will impress with little effort 🙂
